The Nokia N8 is a great smartphone equipped with performance features and many preloaded apps. For some people those preloaded apps aren’t enough, so they start looking for other Symbian S60 apps available for Nokia N8. To help those people, I put together a list of apps that I find both interesting and useful.

Best Screen Snap is one of the apps you should definitely install on your Nokia N8 because first of all it’s free and secondly it helps you capture screenshots on your mobile phone. You can save these screenshots and send then to your friends using email. It’s a great app for those who work in teams and need to change visual ideas.
Another useful app for Nokia N8 use is PDF+Basic which is a simple PDF viewer able to do almost everything you need. This app lets you use full screen, landscape zoom and column mode for reading email attachments and viewing web downloads. It also comes with a nice and friendly user interface and is well equipped with features like find text, previous page, next page or go to page.
Nokia Battery Monitor is a great app that runs in the background and is able to provide accurate information about the phone’s battery usage. This app can accurately predict how much time you have until the battery automatically enters saving mode. You will like the nice interface and the attractive homescreen widget.
You should also check out the Compass Touch app which works perfectly with the built-in magnetometer and GPS. It offers information regarding compass and longitude/latitude coordinates and details meant to help you orientate in space. With the help of this app you will be able to know all the time your current position, so you will never get lost.
Decibel Meter is an interesting app for Nokia N8 because it transforms your smartphone into a sound level meter. This app is able to measure the average and peak in decibels allowing you to determine when noise level exceeds 85dB which represents the noise level able to damage your hearing.

I also need to mention HDR Photo Camera which is an amazing camera app for Nokia N8 use. It’s able to capture three consecutive frames at various exposure levels and afterwards it uses the exposure fusion technique to pick only the relevant elements. The goal is to combine the three frames and obtain a great HDR image.
Super Guard should also be on your smartphone because it helps users hide their secret phone-stored videos, pictures, contacts and data. It helps you secure all that private data by using password protection.

HDR Photo Camera sounds really interesting. The camera is great on the N8 as it is, I wonder how much better will the images be with this app.
