Htc Inspire 4g Vs Motorola Atrix

On the market you will find a wide variety of smartphones, so in order to decide which one is best and worth your money you need to be well informed. In my opinion, the best way to find out which device offers the best features and performance is to compare it with other similar smartphones. That’s what I did with the HTC Inspire 4G and the Motorola Atrix 2 and look what I found.

First of all, both devices were released in 2011 and come with attractive designs and well built bodies. In terms of dimensions, I must say that the HTC Inspire 4G is smaller than the Atrix 2, measuring 122.9 x 68.1 x 11.7 mm, but it’s also thicker and heavier than Motorola’s smartphone because the Atrix 2 measures 126 x 66 x 10mm and weighs around 147 grams. Regarding the screens integrated, I must say that both devices feature large touchscreens with nice resolutions. The Motorola Atrix 2 features a 4.3-inch TFT touchscreen with a 540 x 960 pixel resolution, Gorilla Glass and touch-sensitive controls. On the other hand, the Inspire 4G comes with a gorgeous 4.3-inch S-LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, touch-sensitive controls and Gorilla Glass.

Under the hood, these smartphones host powerful processors: the Inspire 4G is equipped with a 1GHz processor with 768MB of RAM and 4GB of storage while the Atrix 2 is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. Considering the operating systems available, I need to mention that both high end devices are Android phones, so you will have full access to the Android Market and you will be able to use various features such as voice memo, predictive text input and preloaded Google apps. The Atrix 2 runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Motoblur while the Inspire 4G comes with Android 2.2 Froyo (upgradable to version 2.3) and the HTC Sense UI.

Another common feature available on these two smartphones is the 8MP camera that comes with almost similar camera settings and HD video recording capabilities. The only exceptions refer to the dual LED flash available on the Inspire (on the Atrix 2 you will find single LED flash) and the 1080p HD video recording capability available only on the Atrix 2 (on the Inspire you can record only 720p HD videos). A plus for the Atrix 2 is the presence of a front-facing camera which lacks on the Inspire 4G. Both smartphones offer various wireless options including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, 3G and HTML browser with Adobe Flash. I like both smartphones, but the Motorola Atrix 2 is better.
